Rotary Club Roles

In the Rotary Club of Mineral Wells, professional titles are not about prestige; they are avenues to serve. Our Rotary members align their vocation with Rotary's core motto “Service Above Self”, use your unique skills, resources, and leadership to give back and foster a positive impact.

President - The primary leader who directs the club's service goals, chairs weekly meetings, and oversees the board of directors.

Past President - The Rotarian who just completed their presidential term; s/he served on the board to provide continuity.

President Elect (PE) - The incoming president preparing for their term (which usually begins July 1), responsible for attending specialized training.

Secretary - Manages club membership records, attendance, and official communications. 

Treasurer - Oversees the club's finances, collects annual dues, and manages disbursements.

Executive Secretary/Director - A Rotarian leader who serves as the chief administrative and operational officer, typically dedicated to managing day-to-day club affairs, assisting the President, handling bookkeeping and coordinating weekly meetings.

Foundation - The leader of the club's Foundation efforts. S/he educates Rotary members about Foundation programs, encourage charitable contributions, and coordinate local grant requests.

Director of Technology - A Rotarian leader who manages the club's audiovisual equipment, projectors, and video conferencing for guest speakers and club meetings. 

Sergeant-At-Arms - Maintains order, sets up meeting rooms, and often coordinates fellowship activities or fines/happy-dollar traditions.

Membership - A Rotarian leader who focuses on recruiting new members, onboarding them, and organization classification talks.

Youth Services - A Rotarian leader responsible for overseeing all local youth professional programs who handles candidate selection, ensure adherence to Rotary Youth Protection Policies, and act as the liaison to the district. 

Public Image - A Rotarian leader who creates and implements a comprehensive marketing, public relations strategy and the club's digital presence. S/he oversees the committee, ensure club branding follows Rotary International's stye guidelines and alights local efforts with the global “People of Action” campaign.

Committee - A team of Rotarians who assist the chair in organizing fundraising events, writing grant application and promoting PolioPlus initiatives.
